I am so excited to learn and grow as individuals and as a crew. Our crew is a safe place to learn, grow, make mistakes and have fun. This is going to be a good year and I look forward to every moment!
Our Latest News
There is now a weekly reading log that is due! Student's will bring their new log home on Friday's in their Friday Folder. Students should be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes every night. Please have your student fill out the log and you initial each night that they read.
They may count their baggie books and sight word books towards their 20 minutes of reading.

Every month there is a Scholastic book order. This is a great way to help foster a love of reading for your kids. Every time you place an order, you earn points for our class that I can use for free books for our classroom library. When you place an order, please use my code: Q4QWG
Slippers
Each week your student will have a new word sort that focuses on a specific skill. They will have time in class to do their word work but they are required to practice at home five times. Please initial on the back of their word sort each time they practice. Word Sorts are due on Friday.
On the back of their word sort are some ideas on ways they can practice. You don't have to use those. There are a lot of ideas on the internet and you can always have them sort it by phonetic skill.
There will be a spelling test every Friday. The new word sort for the next week will be sent home Friday's, in their Friday folder. Let me know if you have any questions!
If you have not brought in slippers for your student, please do so ASAP. Our playground gets really muddy during the school year and in order to help take care of our school and classroom, our crew will be taking our shoes off when we come inside, and wearing slippers on those days when it is wet and muddy outside.
